Grilled Tunworth Burgers
These delightful burgers make the ideal addition to any summer BBQ!
Ingredients
- 4 Burger patties (ground beef or plant-based alternative)
- Tunworth Cheese, sliced
- 4 Burger buns
- Handful of Lettuce leaves
- 2 Tomatoes, sliced
- 1 Onion, caramelised
- Avocado slices (optional)
Instructions
- Season the burger patties with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Place the burger patties on the grill and cook them to your desired level. As a general guide, it will take about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare burgers.
- While the patties are grilling, slice the Tunworth cheese into thick slices. During the last few minutes of grilling, place a slice of Tunworth cheese on top of each patty to melt.
- Once the cheese has melted, remove the burger patties from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes. Meanwhile, lightly toast the burger buns on the grill, cut side down, until they are lightly golden.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a burger patty with melted Tunworth cheese on the bottom half of each bun. Add your desired toppings such as lettuce leaves, tomato slices, caramelized onions, and avocado slices. Serve the Grilled Tunworth Burgers immediately while they are still warm.
